Since 2007, the Associação Amigos da Saúde has helped people in need by offering ophthalmological consultations, among others.
Realizing the great difficulty in moving these people, Dr. André Malta in 2015 created the Expresso da Visão. An ophthalmological mobile unit to serve the city of Guarulhos and in 2016 acquired the second unit so that it could help other areas.
